I hung this in my pergola and it looks great. I bought 3 strings. I did have a few bulbs that didn't seem to work. Kind of disappointing, considering a huge chunk of the high price is due to the bulbs; luckily I did not need all of the bulbs, since I laid out the wire where some parts crossed/overlapped and I didn't need two bulbs in the same spot. The light emitted is on the warm side and not cool blue white, but I would say it's not as orange/warm like typical household warm bulbs. That said -- it's still very pretty.I'm giving 4 stars because if I want to change the way these are hung in my backyard and want to utilize all the bulb sockets, I wouldn't be able to without having to purchase additional bulbs, since a few of the bulbs didn't work (albeit a very small percentage).I followed other people's advice -- hang the wire first and then add the bulbs. This made sure I didn't break any bulbs (even though 5 or so out of the 150 I received didn't work). But just be careful if you need all of the bulb sockets; since I had some bulbs that didn't work, you may find yourself with not enough working bulbs after you already hung the string. I can imagine this being a little annoying.Well this was a total bummer :-( I was so excited to string these outside by the pool and I opened the box today to start and one string of lights was in there loose and the other two were rolled up with a twist tie. Also a few bulbs were broken :-(. Tried the loose one first and 5 lights didn’t work :-( So then I thought, maybe that one had been returned which was why it was loose and to try the ones that were properly packaged. Nope. The properly packaged strings also didn’t work. About 10 lights didn’t work on that one. So disappointed. Not just that they didn’t work but that I was psyched all week to work on this today so it would be up for the weekend and now i have to spend time returning this and buying others and waiting for them to arrive. Really disappointing. Also the wire is kind of cheap and I’m doubtful it would have stood up to the outdoor elements... and when you plug the lights in, they made a loud buzzing sound. Not promising.I've had a 100' light strand for about 14 months now, using them over my deck outside. They worked well until recently. Some bulbs have gone out, but almost all the bulbs have filled with water. We leave them up all year in New England, through all seasons. This fall, the fuse started going out after several attempts to replace with the correct fuse, making them unusable. Like the light quality, warm amber, and they look great, but having paid $230, I can't recommend this brand.Poor quality brokeSo far so good. The packaging is good the lights are separate from the strands which is nice. The cord is thick and of good quality. One trick is to make sure the bulbs are screwed in all the way or they may look burned out.Looks great on my patio. Good usable light without the glare. Had one broken bulb (out of 200), but they sent out four bulbs for a replacement and they came quickly. Our lights arrived and we love them! These lights are worth buying.
