Overall, pretty good. We used these lights to backlight the couch on our second deck and to highlight the wall art. They are bright and warm, which I appreciate. They're not super bright so they can't be your only light source but for our purposes, which was more aesthetic, they were perfect. The con is that the only way to turn them on is to manually plug them in. To make them more convenient and functional, I'll probably connect them to a smart plug so we don't have to keep fishing behind the couch to turn them on everytime we have company!Bright lights, toned them down with colored film (of course from Amazon). The lights really give life to the white oak beams. Purchased an extra four and stored them away for the future replacement. Hard to beat the price, 4 for $40.Let me start by saying that this is a very good and well-made outdoor light. Excellent for use as a bright spot light. The cord is short, as stated by other reviewers, but extensions can easily solve that issue. The only issue that I have is that I was looking for a “warm white” (ie. Slightly more yellow on the spectrum) light. This light is more of a “daylight” (ie. White) light. If you are looking for a softer light, you may be disappointed. Otherwise, great product.Outdoors for an accent under potted tree, just enough light.I purchased these, knowing that I would have to modify them, for a customer looking for a cheap spotlight to show off her fountain at night. I ended up having to build a longer shade for one in order to achieve my goal. They put out a great deal of light, not overly bright but it did illuminate her entire patio (30×30 oval shape) by placing it in a tree above the patio. Not what she wanted but after modifying it, it was perfect. The unit itself is very small and seems fairly well built, the mounting brackets however are cheap crap. In a situation where it is used like it was meant to be used for however they are probably ok.This was used about 12 hours a day for 4.25 years without a problem. It recently failed and the bulb is hardwired / integrated, so it's not repairable without special skills and tools. This is not the case, but if this were redesigned with a common 2-pin (MR11 or MR16) LED form-factor, then it's would be a 5 star product. As it is, we have to give it 4.5 stars for having to throw it away when the LED hit end of life.I had a problem with the cat litter. Yeah, this sounds weird for a lamp purchase, but it's not a joke. The cats had trouble seeing the litter box in the dark and they would occasionally miss the box. It's located at the base of a stairway in a dark, enclosed area that gets no light at all, even in the daytime. I tried a night light, but the bulbs burned out frequently. LED night lights weren't bright enough. So, I searched for something that would light up the area and allow the cats to be more comfortable when using the litter box. This product caught my eye for several reasons. It has the right amount of brightness; it has the low (5 W) power consumption; it has the right mounting plate (for a wall); and it is supposed to have a very long product life (time will tell).I am so impressed with this product and its price that I plan to get more of them and use them elsewhere around the house, the barn and the garage.I recommend this product for anyone who needs more than just a night light to illuminate an area. The one thing to remember is that this light does not have a switch. As soon as you plug it in, it turns ON. If you want a sensor or timer for this light, you have to get them separately. This light is designed for areas that are constantly dark.Shine on front doorWe purchased this light to illuminate our Bar-B-Q while cooking on ‘dark’ (winter) days. It has GREAT brightness for checking the progress, during the cooking of our foods. - I took it apart to see if the wiring was correct. It only has two wires, with no ground. (probably works safely without?) We wish to install an -in line- on/off switch so; that can allow us to: re wire, using a proper ground. (It is made cheaply but, works well enough after some extra modifications!) We shopped local dollar stores for a reasonable light, but had to order on line?just wish it had a power button built in. We use it with smart timer to cast light on the front porch. It's plenty bright and has withstood torrential rain without a problem. Nice and small. Power cord is only a couple of feet long. Not a problem for us, but really should be longer for ease of use.Overall Good Buy.I needed a spotlight that sits on the floor. I wanted to illuminate my plants to give my Condo an interesting effect. This product is absolutely perfect for my needs. About the size of a soup can, but gives off a nice bright light. I thoroughly recommend this product. I'm planning on ordering more.VERY Disappointed in this light. We should have read more reviews as we later discovered that there is NO GROUND WIRE. We had planned on using it indoors as a light for a tree in our home office. The light is too easily tipped over s the stand is so small and worst of all there is NO on/off switch.Great for in home plug in spot, shined it on my wine rack from across and above, not overly bright but exactly what I wanted. Might be a little under powered outside unless you just want to highlight something.
