First suggestion . . . don't get red. I am un-happy with the glow that comes off the sail. I wasn't expecting that. The sail is located on my patio right off the house. The den (with the door to the patio) gets a red glow nearly all day due to the sail. I am sure I will get used to this, but I am disappointed by it.I installed a sun sail for the first time. To do so, I got a 10ft 4"x4" post from my local lumber yard and installed that with concrete and a post bracket. Then I attached the sun sail to the post, the house and the fence (two spots).I didn't use the rope that came with the sun sail, opting instead for paracord. Its thinner, stronger, and easier to work with. Getting the sail tentioned was a little challenging. After a week I noticed that the sail had relaxed some. I got the ladder back out and re-tentioned it with my ropes. I am sure I am going to have to continue to do this as the sail gets accustomed to the tention.I live near the beach so I get a lot of wind. Durable and privides shade.Have purchased several. Do what I expected them to do. Installation, not hard but takes a bit of doing to get it right I liked the extra help from my other half. * recommend 4 - medium strength 4-6” springs for the corners to add some tension and aid in avoidance of wind damage, drooping or sagging.Easy install. You have to land the corner anchors correctly for a smooth surface with no wrinkles. Had to move them a little. Even if there had been a few wrinkles it is so nice to have the area where we sit protected from theafternoon sun. ???? Love the splash of bright yellow too.love love love these shade sails, I bought 4 and they are beautiful and vibrantI've had this shade for 2 years already and keep it up during the summer and take it down during the winter here in Montana. This past weekend we had a massive hail hail storm in the shade filled up with hail to the point it was sagging about two feet above a table that it is normally about 5 ft above. After the stones melted and a couple of days in the sun drying out it has rebounded back to pretty much its original shape. Definitely a high-quality product that has stood up to very hot temperatures and extreme weather. It has also kept its color over the past two years, I definitely would recommend and give it 5 stars for quality.I haven’t “used” it yet but I love it installed. I had to return my first size and order a smaller size. You really don’t need as big of a screen as you think because it really does stretch. Buy turnbuckle hooks so you can adjust and make it taut. I have an 11x17 deck. My posts were installed at prob 5-8” inside that depth and a 9x15 screen worked perfectly. The turnbuckle hooks are key and they are purchased separately. It was difficult to install because my house is stucco and it is attached to the house. My only complaint is it sags in the middle which is good for rain drain off but bad when you walk under it. Not a hardship, really. Just an observation.
