Do like the look, thankfully I did need it smaller to mount on a pillarSeems not to read accurately.It's ok. Overpriced.Lovely to look at but no accurate. Reading 12 degrees hotter that it actually is.Very disppointing.The non adjustable wall mount is set the wrong position so it hangs crooked.Update, the thermostat can be adjusted. It needs to be removed from the ring and placed at proper position. Should have been done by the manufacturer before shipping.Not accurateLove everything, seems a bit larger tha it’s dimensions, cute, cute, makes me smile!This is a nice looking, prettily designed garden thermometer. It is cheaply made - but then the price they are charging is still good value and I think a garden centre would be charging a lot more for this. The centre thermometer part can pop out - (not sure why you’d want to separate it). When hanging it, it does fall to the side as the tail is top heavy, if you look at my photo I put an extra screw in where the tail is, you can see it but it doesn’t bother me. Also if you are patient when checking it you should see the change in temperature as mine is working fine. Also I don’t mind reading in Fahrenheit.I wished I had realised that it used Fahrenheit as the main scale and that Centigrade was in very much smaller numbers - difficult to read from a distance. I also found I had to weight the head of the bird to get it to stay level when attached to the wall outside.But everything else was exactly as I expected it to be from the information provided, and I am pleased with it.Unfortunately when you hang this thermometer on a wall or shed door the actual 'bird' tips back because it is so heavy. Which means having to knock a couple of tacks under the tail to keep it straight.
