Considering that it's about one-third the price of similar products, it's a decent choice as a starter umbrella. Looks good and provides plenty of shade. The pole quality isn't great, so there's a lot of movement in any kind of breeze, and the bottom is easily dented by the base clamps. There's no tie to keep it closed, so we take it down when not in use. If it makes it 2 years, I'll feel like we got our money's worth. The quality seems good. It is bigger than I thought but gives us a lot of shade.Broke in a few months with very little use. Umbrella now stuck in the up position.Well I just opened the box in July 01 2015 I used the umbrella 3 rd time the the metal tube bent in half hit my brother in law on the head yes I bought the unit last and didn't open the box till this summer . Very poorly made they should take off the marketVery weak product. Within two weeks one of the arms had torn through the canvas. After a month the red/burgundy canvas had faded to a pale, sun-bleached pink color. The first moderate breeze caused the flimsy main pole to snap.Summary, Cheap, poorly constructed, flimsy junk. This must be intended for indoor use only, or maybe for climates which experience no wind ever. The very first time we attempted to use this there was a slight breeze and the product self distructed. Other than that it was great. This umbrella is a perfect fit for our small rectangular deck. The fabric seems strong. We ordered the brown which is a nice rich look.only negative is there is no tie so with winds you'll need a bungee cord or rope to help keep the umbrella closed
