Used around the trees for a rustic wedding at our fire pit. Lovely. Both sets work fine and all the sequences function. Only down side is that they are bright and hard to stare directly at, but they will be used at night so it should not be a problem. The strands are quite small but pack a powerful light punch. We used them with a foam core cutout (think giant light bright) - with their rounded tips it worked perfectly for what we needed. The remote isn’t too great, can’t do distance at all. Works about as well as it could for the price. These lights are perfect for what I was looking for. Not only do they look great, because they have a clear string, the lights look amazing hanging on my wall. I love them so much!I purchased two sets of these to use for Christmas outside. The batteries last a very long time (just now starting to run out after 1 1/2 months of daily evening use). They are bright, and it’s fun to use different modes! The reason I removed a star is the remote control range. I do not enjoy that I have to walk outside and get 1-2 feet away from the battery packs to turn these lights off. I was hoping the range would be better so I could control from inside. However, I would buy more. Overall pretty happy. We don't have many outlets in our home because it is older and the electricity stuff has never been updated. Also, the outlets are on the floor, so it makes it harder to use anything that hangs. That's why I chose these light's instead of your standard plug in type. These are cute, tiny, string-lights that are battery power operated with remote controls. Each separate "string" comes with it's own remote. I had to label the remotes with a permanent marker so I don't get them mixed up. They fit around my windows well, and have various light settings. I like to just leave them on the standard "on" function.Picture shows the lights around a large window with all of our other lights turned off. It does not light up the room, it just gives a nice delicate outline over whatever you place them on.They take 3 AA batteries, and make sure you get very good batteries because my lights already died completely and I have only had them for two weeks. They were left on overnight once so I'm betting that's what caused it. I am purchasing some better batteries to see how they hold up with that. (I used Energizer batteries at first.)we live in a neighborhood that either goes all out for christmas lights or does nothing. we are a group of the latter LOL. we keep our tree up way too long and put some lights on the inside of our house. our tree is 30+ years old and has all incandescent bulbs so we wanted to see if we could find some nice warm white LED lights that also used batteries and lasted a while. we have eneloop rechargeables however of course you don't want to have to pull the batteries daily if the lights eat the 3 AA's in an evening.i saw the reviews here and gave these a shot. we are more than pleased with them. they're a nice warm white as advertised and they also last at least a week or more being turned on for a few hours at night. the battery cases are nice and seem like they are water resistant like the description says (some others we have tried feel EXTREMELY cheap) and everything seems well put together. when the batteries do eventually get low the lights just start to dim. so we toss the eneloops in a charger overnight and we are good for another week or two. we only needed two strings of these but if we needed more we would not hesitate to buy again .I know you'll laugh, but I got these lights to put in my chicken pen! I wanted something that would give them enough light so they could see their roosts when they go to bed at night... but not stay on all night long.I searched and searched (and even tried a couple of other products--e.g., solar bulbs), but THIS ended up being the answer!I admit, not costing more than it does, I was skeptical that it would perform as advertised, but I thought I'd give it a try. These lights are absolutely as bright as I would want them (they create an amber glow over in a 4' x 4' x 8' space. And the timer works absolutely as advertised (my biggest surprise). Just turn the lights on, click 'Timer' (they'll blink and stay on)... and they'll then stay on for 6 hours and turn off for 18 hours. They cycle that way day after day, so that was PERFECT for my needs. If I had to critique one aspect of the product, it would be the 'Dimmer' function on the remote. All the other functions work well (blinking, timer, etc.), but the 'Dimmer' function doesn't seem right on mine. That doesn't bother me at all, though--I'm still very pleased with the value and performance all around.Wir hatten zwei Ketten für ca. 7 Tage im Gebrauch. Dann hat - vielleicht die Batterie? - die Funktion gestreikt.Das war enttäuschend. Auch die Funkbedienung hat nicht komplett reagiert.
